Salem Haunted Happenings is a month-long widely attended celebration encompassing everything from family-friendly magic shows, to costumed balls, psychic readings, haunted harbor cruises, ghost tours and much more. 

Whether you come to Salem seeking art, music, shopping,  history,  or haunts you are sure to find your own adventure this October at our Halloween Capital of the World. 

This is a very busy and exciting time to visit Salem. Taking moment to plan will help make your trip much more enjoyable.

Tours leave promptly on time

Late arrivals cannot be accepted. The streets are too busy to find your guide once they depart.  If you are late (even by just a minute), you will miss your tour. Plan ahead and see "Visiting Salem in October" below
Arrive 30 minutes early

​We start check in 30 minutes before the departure time. Parties of guests that are fully accounted for, in line, and ready to go, will be placed with a guide leaving right away. There will be minimal wait even if the check-in line looks long.  The last guides departs exactly on time.

Visiting during October is fun, exciting and busy. Keep in mind that this information is designed for the weekend visitor
Weekday guests will generally have an easier travel & parking experience.

Here is our advice to enjoy your vacation to it's fullest.


1. PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION 

Plan to arrive with public transportation if traveling to Salem during October, especially on Saturdays, Sundays,  Columbus Day, or Halloween.  The easiest way to arrive in Salem during October is by utilizing public transportation.  Click here for our "Public Transportation" page

3. PLAN FOR TRAFFIC 

If you drive into Salem plan to arrive early and be prepared to pay for parking. If traveling on a weekend after 11am plan for a potential traffic diversion.


4. EARLY RESERVATIONS

Get reservations early. Our Salem Night Tour often sells out early, and so do most other attractions, hotels, tours, etc.


5. DOUBLE CHECK EVERYTHING 

Make sure your reservation is on the correct date and for the correct number of people. Oftentimes we are sold out well in advance and cannot change or add tickets during check in.
